Final Station Mexico: The Jesús el Buen Pastor Shelter is located in Tapachula, a city in the Mexican state of Chiapas, near the border with Guatemala. This shelter gives a place to migrants who had terrible accidents or who suffer from a disease. Most of the people in his place have lost an arm or a leg in cargo train accidents. Those migrants come from Central America and they are on their way to the United States. Migration: In the central American nations of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, poverty and unemployment, violence and desperation dominate, while there is a permanent demand for a cheap labour force in the United States. Because of this many persons go to the North. Though, this migration is illegalized, and the migrants are forced to travel on clandestine ways, which lead them to many dangers. "The train of Death": In Mexico migrants use the cargo train system to travel northward. This way they can avoid the control posts on the highways which have been installed by the Mexican government in cooperation with the United States. But the voyage above the wagons is dangerous, and nearly every week an accident occurs.
